As known by all ancient cultures, the therapeutic power of sound was used to heal, initiate and transform. The Mystery Schools of Egypt, Tibet and Greece did not regard sound as entertainment but valued it as sacred, sonic transformative tool.
They came to understand that sound is the primary, creative force of all universes and that everything is in a state of vibration. Thus, great spiritual leaders such as Shakyamuni (Buddha) stated that our reality was merely vibrational. Other religious scripture speaks to this. For example, the Bible states that “In the beginning was the Word (sound), the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” Vedic scripture, that pre-dated many other religions, notes that “In the beginning was the Brahman with whom was the Word.”
